Visitors also explored classroom displays, including third grade biography projects that brought historical figures to life. The event included hands-on activities, a cake walk, and opportunities for families to connect while celebrating student achievements.

We are proud to share news of our after-school elementary writing program, Awaken the Senses, in partnership with the Red Cedar Writing Program at Michigan State University.
Over six weeks, fourth and fifth grade students strengthened their writing skills and explored their creativity. They skyped with a park ranger and wrote about the park through their senses, pretended they were writers in a Biggby Cafe, and created color poetry. We wrapped up with a celebration where families enjoyed viewing student work and recognized their growth.
Thank you to Red Cedar Writing, Biggby and student families for supporting our young writers!

Fun lessons in Mrs. Grennell's STEM class. First grade students learn about buoyancy by testing which objects sink or float. Students learn about sound energy assembling an amplification circuit, looking at sound waves, viewing how vibrations move through objects, and seeing how electricity is converted to sound.
