Let's go Bees!
Over six weeks, fourth and fifth grade students strengthened their writing skills and explored their creativity. They skyped with a park ranger and wrote about the park through their senses, pretended they were writers in a Biggby Cafe, and created color poetry. We wrapped up with a celebration where families enjoyed viewing student work and recognized their growth.
Thank you to Red Cedar Writing, Biggby and student families for supporting our young writers!
This weekend, the robotics team competed in its first competition of the season at H.H. Dow High School in Midland. Throughout the weekend, the team encountered difficulties and learned to problem-solve so they could show up to each match with Karl (robot) ready to give it their best. The students learned a lot and enjoyed competing, ultimately bringing home the Rising All-Star Award. The Rising All-Star Award celebrates the team that has persisted through challenges, despite the difficulties of being young.
