School leaders across the state are urging our legislators to pass the School Aid Budget as soon as possible. Without an approved budget, districts across the state may miss the first October 20 payment that is needed to operate. Please see the attached letter being sent to legislators, families and staff across Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, and Shiawassee Counties addressing the need for a stable budget to continue teaching and learning across our region.

Please join us in urging our elected officials to reach a quick agreement and keep K-12 funding secure. You can contact your state lawmakers at https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Legislature/Legislators and explain why timely, protected school funding is important to you and your family.
Thank you for your continued support.

Please read the attached message from Bath Community Schools about free student meals.

Earlier today, a gas leak was discovered at Bath High School. The issue has been fully resolved, and the building has been deemed safe.
Out of an abundance of caution, the high school will be closed for all activities on Sunday, September 21, to allow additional ventilation of the building. Normal school operations will resume on Monday, September 22.
We appreciate your understanding as we take every precaution to ensure the continued safety of our students and staff.

We will be honoring the 1975 Bath Girls Track and Field State Champions on October 10th at the BHS home football game. We are trying to contact members of that team. See the flyer for more information.

Please see the following resources for parents/guardians and students to access our new communication tool called Rooms. Please contact the building office if you are having any difficulty with your account and they will get you in touch with someone that can assist you.

We are looking forward to a great school year and are excited to announce we have teamed up with Nutrislice, a Digital Dining Solution! You will find nutritional, allergen and carbohydrate counts for all items on our menu. Check it out at https://bathschools.nutrislice.com/
The link can also be found on the Food Services page on our website and on the BCS app in the dining section for each building.
One free breakfast and one Free lunch will be available to all K-12 students through September 30, 2025. The Michigan School Meals program, which pays the difference for our paid and reduced-price meal students, may be eliminated September 30th. While this is wonderful news to start, there may be a need to add funds to your child's account for breakfast and lunch after the deadline.
If you are curious if your student would be approved for benefits, please fill out the following page below and hand it into the office at your child's school.

There are programs that are impacted by our applications for the free and reduced lunch program. AP testing fees, as well as Pay-to-Participate for sports through our schools, are waived. In addition, funding is given for the summer Eat Up Meet Up program and Summer EBT Benefits.
Even though students are provided with free meals, please consider filling out the application.

The School Calendar is now available, see the links below. The calendars can also be found on the events/calendar page for each building.
