Memorial Trees at ES

A note from our Elementary School Principal, Lisa Roedel - Good morning Bath Bee's and supporters. I received several phone calls this morning asking about the memorial trees that were planted in front of the 4th and 5th grade wing of the elementary school. The two trees outside of that wing were both planted in memory of loved ones from our Bath Community. Mr. Huffman, Superintendent, contacted the families of both Barry Waite and Betty Watson last spring to discuss the situation with them and ask for their blessings. We looked into having the trees moved to another location, however, they were already too big and we were told they would most likely not survive the move. Mr. Huffman, along with the families, decided we would save the posts with the memorial plagues and once construction is complete we will plant new trees in their honor and rededicate those trees to Betty and Barry. We certainly want to continue to honor both Barry and Betty in ways that support and comfort their family and friends.
